Free scans measure geometry and calculate a geometry reference score on your device. An optional AI report processes the photos you confirm to produce six dimension scores, a 100-point total and a private saved report.
Free photographs and camera scans
The free scan uses MediaPipe in your browser to detect landmarks and calculate supported distances, angles and ratios. Free photographs, landmarks and camera recordings are not uploaded for AI analysis. The free step provides geometric measurements and a geometry reference score out of 100; six-dimension AI scores and the overall score out of 100 require an AI report. Local scan recovery and photo transfers can store data on your device for up to 24 hours; expired records are removed when the site next opens. Sharing cards, including their photo overlays and scores, are generated on your device. Downloading saves a local image; choosing to share that image sends its contents to the app or recipient you select. You can hide the photo before sharing; the exported card still contains its measured landmark outlines, construction lines and scores. Copying the tool link does not include your photo or result. Basic usage events are described separately below.
Paid reports
When you choose to create an AI report, the confirmed photos, relevant geometric measurements and selected report preferences are uploaded to prepare a private report draft and checkout. AI generation starts after payment is verified. We store input photos and generated hairstyle images privately in Cloudflare R2, and report text, six dimension scores, the computed total, task status and order records in Cloudflare D1. Unpaid drafts can be purchased for 24 hours. You can delete reports and their private content from your account. Paid reports remain in your account until you delete the report or your account.
Service providers
Google handles sign-in and supplies your basic profile and verified email. Stripe processes payments; we keep payment identifiers and amounts, not card numbers. AI text assessment sends the confirmed images, relevant measurements and report preferences to the configured model through OpenRouter. The model returns dimension scores and explanations; our server calculates the total using the published methodology. Hairstyle generation sends the source photo and styling instructions to the image provider. Providers process data under their own terms.
Scoring and research
Our current scoring feature does not create a human-rating research dataset or collect additional research ratings from ordinary scans. A separate research program would require separate participation information and permission. Our authored AI reference score is explained on the methodology page; it is not an independently validated human-consensus rating.

We record feature starts, outcomes, shares and referral clicks with a browser visitor identifier and, when signed in, your account identifier. These events do not contain photographs or face measurements. Login and activity timestamps are stored separately. Browser identifiers are approximate visitor counts, not unique people.
Cookies and optional analytics
Session cookies support sign-in. A first-party visitor cookie supports usage statistics. Optional third-party analytics and ads run only when configured. Your browser can restrict cookies and clear local site data.
Deletion and contact
Delete individual reports from My reports or delete your account from Profile. Generation stops and private photos and report content are removed. Financial records may remain after account deletion without the deleted account association for payment reconciliation. Contact contact@getfacereport.com about data access or deletion.
